Work to Create a More Sustainable World
Why rCB
Phibro rCB produces rCB, a medium reinforcing recovered carbon black crafted from end-of-life tire rubber. We utilize a proprietary low temperature reaction process, that preserves key properties like surface area and dynamic void volume, enabling rCB to substitute or enhance conventional carbon blacks in rubber products. rCB exhibits similar behavior to conventional carbon blacks in both natural and synthetic rubber compounds.

Transforming the Tire Pyrolysis Industry
-
Unique, catalyzed, continuous, and hundreds of degrees lower than typical pyrolysis.
-
The process preserves surface area and structure of original carbon black.

rCB Performance
rCB maintains essential performance properties needed for various rubber manufacturing and other applications.
rCB demonstrates comparable performance to medium reinforcing and low reinforcing virgin carbon black series types (N700, N900, N600, N500, and N300).
-
rCB preserves the original carbon black structure (Void Volume & Surface Area), which interacts with polymer systems and enhances compound physical properties.
-
rCB reinforces rubber similarly to specific grades of virgin carbon black.
